The rebound in Chinese tech stocks still has plenty of doubters, but shares could continue to climb, according to Ritholtz Wealth Management CEO Josh Brown. The fund has rallied in 2024 so far following three straight years of losses, and Brown said Thursday that the sentiment had gotten way too negative on Chinese stocks. India's historic stock market rally shows no signs of slowing down and there is still time for investors to jump in, according to Morgan Stanley. Therefore, this is set to be India's longest and best bull market ever," the note said. The Franklin FTSE India ETF (FLIN) is also up more than 7% in 2024, but 31% over the past year.

Shares of popular athleisure brand Lululemon have plummeted this year, trailing the S & P 500 significantly. Its shares, which were included in the Wall Street index just last October, are down around 28% year-to-date. The balanced portfolio – which typically allocates 60% of assets toward stocks and 40% to fixed income –could use a rethink in today's higher rate environment, according to BlackRock's Rick Rieder. "For 30 years, fixed income was a hedge," said Rieder, the asset manager's global chief investment officer of fixed income, in a phone call with CNBC. A 60/30/10 split Rather than a 60/40 split toward equities and fixed income, Rieder said he would consider a 60/30/10 allocation if he had to build a balanced portfolio. That is, he'd maintain a 60% allocation toward stocks, but keep 30% of the portfolio in "higher income, shorter duration" assets. In addition to AAA-rated CLOs, Rieder also likes European investment-grade credit as a U.S. dollar investor.

Hedge fund manager and New York Mets baseball team owner Steven Cohen has already begun to invest in a four-day work week. Cohen isn't alone in forecasting a four-day work week. Jefferies thinks artificial intelligence will make workers more efficient and eventually lead to a four-day work week becoming the norm, according to a note from June 2023. Bank of America also expects the changing post-pandemic work landscape may result in a shorter work week. Opposition to change Opponents to a shorter work week, however, argue that such a change is both politically and economically unfeasible.

With this view in mind, I am looking for a bearish setup in the VanEck Oil Services ETF (OIH) . This ETF seeks to track the largest, most liquid companies involved in oil drilling and selling oil equipment based on market capitalization. However, my trading platform indicates that this will tie up $5,500 of portfolio margin, a significant amount for a potential profit of just $430. Yet, since I'm paying a debit for the $365 call, it also decreases my profit potential from $430 to $133. I will need a good trade management plan with a stop loss in case the trade starts going against me.

Some of the key drivers that drove stocks to record highs in the first three months of the year are being undermined, leading to Tuesday's sell-off, according to investor James Abate. ESG funds also tend to be more heavily invested in technology stocks because the sector is one of the "cleaner" industries, according to former VettaFi financial futurist Dave Nadig. But Noack considers the idea that ESG funds only invest in clean, sustainable sectors as misleading. Global ESG funds saw their first net quarterly outflows on record in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to Morningstar.
